  • SynopsisThe Last Days of Lehman Brothers summarizes the events that occurred over the weekend preceding Monday, 15 September 2008, when Lehman declared bankruptcy. Some of the story is narrated by the fictional character "Zach", a Lehman employee often taking orders directly from Dick Fuld. Zach often breaks the Fourth wall, talking directly to the viewer.
'Banking and Finance' in the film
In this film, based on the true story of the company Lehman Brothers, we can see how they treat topics we study, as toxic assets (scene of the trailer) and again the issue of professional ethics in the world of finance.

Personal comentary
The film shows how the beginning of the crisis the company was experienced from the point of view of an employee. What is striking is the ease with which the leaders of these companies to try that savers are those who have to bear the economic burden of their bad financial practices.

  1. This documentary based on real events is quite interesting, since it is a chronicle of the events that occurred in the last 3 days of Lehman Brothers before its bankruptcy. This fact has great relevance because it is the act that inaugurates our current economic crisis. Although it is not entirely entertaining as it does not transmit anything to the spectator, it explains very well the facts that, in themselves, are not easy to understand. I recommend it to anyone interested in the subject.

  2. In my opinion, the last days of Lehman Brothers is one of the films that better explains the beginning of the economic crisis in 2009. It explains in detail how these brothers tried to save their company before their bankruptcy and how the crisis untied after this. There are numerous financial matters that allow you to easily understand what happened. It makes you realize the great amount of incompetence that there is in the financial market.
